Does Yivra upload my photos?
No. Text recognition and redaction run entirely on your device. Yivra has no server, no account and no analytics.
Something sensitive wasn't covered. What can I do?
Tap or click the text to cover it, or tap Manual and paint over it. Automatic detection can't catch everything, so always check the image before sharing. If you email us an example (with the real details replaced), we can improve detection.
Something was covered that I want to keep.
Tap the black box to remove it, and tap the outline again to restore it. Undo and Redo work for every change.
The first redaction took a while.
The first time text recognition runs, the system may need to prepare its on-device models. This happens once; afterwards it takes well under a second.
Are covers really permanent in the saved image?
Yes. Covers are drawn into the pixels of a new full-resolution image, and location and camera metadata are removed. The original photo in your library is left unchanged.
I only gave access to some photos.
That's fine. Yivra works with limited access; choose “Select More Photos” at the bottom of the grid to add more, or change access in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos.
How do I use Yivra on the Mac?
Open an image with ⌘O, drag one into the window, or paste with ⌘V. Use ⌘Z and ⇧⌘Z to undo and redo, and ⌘S to save.
