Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Yivra is a photo redaction app for iPhone, iPad and Mac, developed by Zhiping He ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app and this website. In short: Yivra does not collect, store or share any of your data.
Data we collect
None. Yivra does not collect personal information, usage data, diagnostics, identifiers or location. It has no account system and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software.
Your photos
Yivra asks for access to your photo library only so you can choose a photo to redact, and to save the redacted copy back to your library when you tap Save. On the Mac, Yivra only opens images you choose, drag in or paste.
All text recognition, detection of sensitive information and image processing happen entirely on your device using Apple's built-in frameworks. Your photos and the text in them are never uploaded, sent to us or shared with anyone. Yivra does not keep copies of your photos; closing an image discards your edits.
Images you save or share
When you save or share a redacted image, Yivra creates a new image and removes embedded metadata such as GPS location, camera details, capture dates and other EXIF, XMP and IPTC information. Where the image goes after you share it is controlled by you and the app or service you share it with.
Permissions
- Photos (read): to show your library and open the photo you pick. You can grant full or limited access, or change it any time in Settings.
- Photos (add): to save the redacted copy when you tap Save.
- Files (Mac): only the files you explicitly open or save.
Network access
Yivra does not contact any server operated by us. If a photo is stored only in iCloud, Apple's Photos framework may download the original so it can be opened; this is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking, and we do not keep access logs. If you email us, we use your message and email address only to reply and do not share them.
Children
Yivra does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13 or the minimum age in your country.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Because Yivra collects no data, changes will not affect information we hold about you — we hold none.
